Note

Extended periods of heart racing - uncomfortable. Late in evening.

Addendum: from what I now know has happened to me in the past 5 days I would say my BP dropped (yep even more) as in the onset of sickness overnight.
8 AM

Park Run (Merriwa) 43:16 [3] 5.0 km (8:39 / km)
shoes: grey/white

First run back after surgery and still not quite sure about testing the strength of the wound healing. But " parunners ready... GO" I just took off -really weird. No stride length, no power, but felt pretty good. Lasted until I was out of sight of rockman and then I slowed to a fast walk. Patches of walk, jog, run, jog, walk throughout the distance. The course reminds me of what I thiink Goulburn must be like - alongside the river, part path, part grass, part rough open. It's the first parkrun where females outnumbered males 12:3. A 2 loop course which didn't phase me at all. Negative split by about 2 minutes and yiha I wasn't double the winner's time. something to build on.

Note

Great day at the Cassilis Small Schools Sports Workshop. Mostly clear sky after downpour the previous evening.this year we had K-Yr4 so i had to modify the activities. Actually think it worked fairly well - 2 courses - Scatter for the older ones and String for the younger but using the school map to navigate our way to the String Course.

Sleep - was cactus!

gym class (Active Lite) 1:00:00 [1]
(injured) shoes: white puma

Oh this was painful on so many levels. Timing is just like parkrun; class is LITE, which is what I am supposed to be doing for about 2-3 weeks until I build up strength. What I'll need to build up strength for is the patience. The class is good for what it is designed for, but today's was really bland.
3 PM

Street Series (SSS1 Cardiff) 51:09 [3] 4.39 km (11:39 / km)
(injured) shoes: white puma

Overcast and thunder rumbles. Headachey from about lunchtime - possibly clothing induced - and hoped a brisk walk in afternoon coolth might fix it. It didn't seem like it as I was helping set up Assembly so took medicinal steps to rid myself of headache.
Got out early and very much a walk scenario. A small clump of points in the SE of map was fine but very limited so went for a bit of a loop which was in the totally opposite direction - but saw more of the world. It began sprinkling and continued the whole way with just one rumble. Really enjoyed this and very surprised at the distance covered. Really enjoyed the clues too. SSS is off and (not) running. Made the mistake of wearing one pair of shoes to the car and forgetting to change them so in the last section which was very muddy and cut up I was tiptoeing - still spoilt the pristine nature of the shoes :-((
Also checked out my option for one of the Saturday events for 2019's Newcastle Shorts - looks like a cracker! Also got tentative date of 2019 Shorts. YAY!

Note
(injured)

All clear report from surgeon, so tomorrow I start back at the gym and at the other end of the day the first of the Summer Street Series - but I'll only be walking that. I did a heavy (of recent times) session in garden today so it will be good to get back into activity again. Perhaps the sleep pattern will revert to post AEDST changeover too.
