Volunteer at Callaghan parkrun. Marshal to direct runners on the amended course. Comment from the Finish crew that they could see I got a good workout beating off the swarms of mossies - that was after 2 sprays of aerogard and full body protection.

Happily going along but got to plank in Core section and felt my right foot. I've always guarded how I stretch my right foot in things like plank, plios and lunges etc. and today the long remembered soreness was there once again. The tell tale feelings when I stretched calf too so I've put myself on light duties as far as weight bearing and stressing goes. Stress fracture of plantar plate takes a long time and 2009 is clearly in my thoughts. So very disappointed. So I'll have to limit parkrun - lots of volunteering coming up - and take a step back from Street Series.

It's a funny old game. Not worth explaining. I didn't get lost. I DSQ myself because I was >10 mins late. I misread the map due to printing distractions - which I found out later 5 of the 6 people I spoke to did also. But I made the same mistake twice on the same 2 controls coming from different directions - the first I could growl about but it was correct. The second one was just sheer stupidity. Only saving grace was the extra distance I did in hilly terrain. Revised my route after dinner and before Vikings - 4.8km and 2 points more and most like a minute or 2 late - which is usual. Will need to be on my game next week - bringing a friend.

Feeling very sleepy still in the mornings though I think I'm almost caught up on sleep.
Surprised to see Claire B setting up weights. Great - so now she has hair, legs and shape! There is absolutely no winning with that girl!
Very reasonable temperature today inside, but a bit humid.

Paddling 25:00 [3]

Tried out the slim line and I suck! Couldn't get stable at all. A little choppy and sideways near shore of course but that didn't help. Kersplash - 3 times before I gave up and ditched my prescription sunnies and went it "bare". So started off with legs off and found it not nearly as hard paddling as I thought. Stability was quite good and all i was interested in was going for distance rather than speed. Lovely out in the water after that. Then rockman reappeared and I took the Mark I and boy was that different - so much more stability, speed and glide but riding low in the water. (We emptied it out later!)

Hard work getting both skis down to the water and set up. almost loggable in their own right.
