Walked up the steepest hill to aclimatise then back to car where I met up with Andrew M and Martina. Walked to assembly then jog to loos then back as time was tight. Felt the steep hill warmup was beneficial and will do more in future. Chilly morning but calm and clear. Saw Shane (post UTA 50) at start - he looks pretty good!

Slightly altered course due to construction so hit the first little hill much sooner. Decided to take waypoints today as I think I'll be at The 'Butt a bit when not at Callaghan.... who'dathought!
S-C1 8:11 Didn't know what this was but for future reference. Felt OK but not fantastic. Fingers were noticing bloodflow when i slowed down... so I just had to speed up.
C1-T 15 :12 (23:23) 22 seconds slower than last week so i was a bit deflated. Pressed on and made the most of the long slightly downhill parts, but knew they'd long slow uphill.
T-F 16:48 (40:11) significantly faster than last time and felt really good coming in along the flat finish - scary actually. I hope it doesn't take 39 mins to warm up to get that feeling!
Talked to Mark and Shane afterwards. Solving O's problems of event management takes longer than we've got time for.
Woo hoo another PB - by 17 secs - so now the race is on for another 12 seconds!!! It's there.
Had the second injury on course today - girl from the gym skidded on gravel - she'll be OK of course but a bit winded.

Intensity 5 doesn't do this session justice. Felt for the girls who'd just done a Garry PT session. apparently when we can't walk on Sunday we are to be in no doubt that Friday was the cause. May go to an alternate parkrun tomorrow.
HIIT session, 3 grass runs, upper body, legs, strength and endurance... and exhaustion. Such a good session.

Seems like all the good music tracks came together today to make for a very enjoyable class - unless it is the break I've had over the past couple of weeks.

One of the toughest classes I've done when I'm not in a recovery phase. Quite pleased with how I managed it and the 4 runs went without hiccup (no that's not a pun). Grass runs were OK even early in class and Trots runs were quite manageable. I know I am a negative runner so looking at the ground is the safest way for me to complete it.
For a designated shoulders day it seemed a lot of leg work was entailed.

Did Rego and Admin for the Newcastle Pairs event held on a beautiful day weatherwise. Great event - lucky to have leepback keen to do it!
