stretching 10:00 [1]

warm up/down 12:00 [2]

Still not enough but better than nothing, I guess.
8 AM

Park Run 35:01 [4] 5.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: bright pink

Opted for Newy due to timing constraints as had a meeting to Chair at Newcastle Baths starting at 9:30.
Soo many people, prams and dogs. Really hot and humid - whinge, whinge, whinge.
Eliz - 7:27 felt fairly good and better than last week.
Cone - 17:01 Still hanging in there. Started the counting people trick but lost interest (that's a first for me!). Time an improvement on last week. Already a little walk, but not much.
Eliz -27:14 A couple of other small stops. Surge trick is real - head said I should go on, legs know they can go on - somewhere in between the message gets mangled. Not even Carmel could get me through.
Finish -35:01 Only interest was in the "appearance" run time. Too hot to be bothered.
Definitely no negative split and 30 seconds slower than last week (BUT that's only 6 sec per km). Still more humid than we'd all like.
So now I've decided not to bother "trying" each week - I am very consistent and some days, especially in cooler weather will give good result. No point in beating myself up over this. Out and about!

No sign of side effects from injection - and sadly no sign that missing yesterday's class gave me an advantage.
6 PM

exploring (field check ) 50:00 [2]

Down and back to plus around and up Henry Park checking rockman's map and my control sites. A fun little park with some cute little "sneaky" spots.

Had whooping cough vac yesterday - taking things easy today.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]

Bits were a struggle, others getting much easier and time for increase. Still working on my weights that change when i want them to!

Park Series (Jesmond/Skyline) 17:08 [4] 2.4 km (7:08 / km)
shoes: bright pink

Due to time constraints I could only fit in the Short course - so disappointed as it was a great area. Tried to push as hard as I could but ended up feeling I could go a lot longer which was good!!! Flustered at the Start because I was late and had Sam start 1 min behind me. So it was inevitable she would pass me soonish and it would be just a follow the leader. However as the nav was simple I used her as a bunny to see if I could lift to go faster. Did help a bit but felt a bit of a fraud - I did check my codes though.
Looking to get hold of a long map and go for a run next week in the first of my 'free' Wednesdays.
Could I make a suggestion - can the rest of the week get cooler and move into Autumn and then Winter and just Wednesdays stay as AEDST and we continue to have Street and Park events. Is that too much to ask?

gym class (Body Pump) 55:00 [4]

More prepared this week for HRH Lewis - but others weren't. Ha ha ha!!!
Missed the warm up and so mistakenly ended up with weights for squats which are not the norm. My legs are going to be cactus tomorrow after that and Cory's class yesterday. Still very warm - field checking this afternoon in Cessnock will be "fun".
But I actually think I might try to ascertain if HRH Lewis does other Pump classes at my gym. I can't believe I wrote that.

gym class (Cross Fit Training) 1:00:00 [4]

Tough but not too tough - Corey must have been feeling kind today. The focus was on upper body with pyramids 10-20 and 20-10 of 3 different exercises interspersed with runs of varying length (and supposed speed).
Finale was first to 50 with pull ups saved us all - thank God for Sandy.
