Note

After rechecking points, getting the 100 pointer wouldn't have promoted me - so I'm now content and have stopped beating myself up about the silly oversight.
9 AM

rogaine (Head to Head) 2:50:00 [4] 14.0 km (12:09 / km)
shoes: black+blue

Perfect weather for this odyssey. Was much more in control this year, which was odd as rockman wasn't there. I seemed to be more prepared.
Good side: little backpack was brilliant; took a punt on shoes that I glued back together Friday and they were just right size; plans to drink at half hour and eat on hour was mostly kept but didn't eat nearly as much as previously; route planning was fairly good with options to add in or leave out (unfortunately all left out); area was great and driving to there was a cinch; weather was very good - in fact discarded sunnies very early on and didn't get them out even later; overcast all the way, except from more overcast at 2:45 when it rained while we were waiting to cross road at lights to get to Finish; food was brilliant (never thought I'd eat a hot cross bun after a rogaine - shows how well hydrated I was); NO MOSSIES; went past the place where Old Peoples Home for 4 year olds was filmed.
Bad side : can't know how much time I'd have at the end but so wish I'd gone for the 100 pointer at my 3rd control which would have catapulted me into 3rd and possibly 2nd; I didn't pay nearly enough attention to the views of the historic houses but did have to struggle past the rock pool (it's on our/my list).
Great day, nice company (on the rogaine and afterwards), plus I picked up a serving platter - afterwards - it's mighty heavy.
Really keen for NSW champs - back of Bourke! Check it out people.
