Veteran's Day Night-O
Great course set by Christian and Darryn. I always have a little trouble getting on the map in this park, even with the mass start, I was having issues reading the map on the move. Had to adjust my headlamp to reduce glare from the plastic.
1-3 went fine, then had a good attack plan on #4, but executed poorly. Left the trail about 20-30' too far west, missing the spur and wandering about. I was a little off on 10, good plan, but was a little too far north and had to double back. 15... got caught up in the buckthorn. Tried to take a direct route from 14, but immediately hit the briars, so had to double back. 18 and 19 weren't the best. Left 18 hoping to skirt the pond to the west and got a little too far east. Tall reeds and grass. 18-19 I tried to go direct and started searching for the trails a bit early.
Good fun.

Control retrieval. Much harder when some of the controls have fallen on the ground.

First time out roller skiing in two years.... 4-5 wipeouts. All to the outside, which is good, but really hard on the clothing and gear. Tore my pants, jacket, elbow, poles, and boots... Legs are sore from the new muscle groups engaged.
