MNOC Corn maze. A great event with lots to do. The ultimate family and social MNOC event. Hopefully next year we can slot it in a spot that doesn't conflict with so many other events.

A little confusion on the course, but no real issues. I got a bit aggressive with the running towards the end and lost my spot on the map.

Orienteering race 3:15 intensity: (20 @0) + (3 @1) + (5 @2) + (48 @3) + (1:49 @4) + (10 @5) 0.19 mi (17:23 / mi) +1ft 17:17 / mi

Short Score-O in the hay bundle maze. Controls flat on the ground, no map, just sprint the maze and hope to find the controls. Good stuff.

Fun last race in the 2012 MNOC Adventure run series. #7 got me again. Not the best route choice to #9 or 12, but fastest of the bunch to the only non-reflector control. Little wins.

Off a little on #1. Followed the pack to #2, not sure it was the best route. #4 I was a bit west, orienting off the tree line. #5 I was just off. Thought I was perfect... but alas... #6 I orienteered with Ian. Great route. #7... if an easy route exists.... just take it. stupid me. Learned from week #2 and took the trail to #8, even though it was a long route. #9... it is just thick in there. I should have tried looked at alternate routes. Hindsight is 20:20. No issues on #10 or #11. #12 was just thick. I tried to use the hill as a handrail, but it was difficult to follow and distance was impossible to judge. Came out North of the control, which made for an easy attack point. I expected there to be 20 people waiting on me at the end. Happy it was only 4.

Cycling 1:10:00 [3] 17.5 mi (15.0 mph)
shoes: Wesley B-Tango / Gaerne Carbo

OTNT Social ride with 4 Strava Challenges thrown in:

Ended up with a King of the Mountain shared ranking with T-Pain on the William Berry Parkway (1/326), a 2nd Place on the Hennepin Hammer(2/945), a tie for 3rd on the Greenway to Lake Street hustle (3/1047) and 11th on the Over 35W (11/87) which is another tie with Tom.

It was a great night for a ride. Temp was perfect, no wind, and a good crowd with Tom, Kelly, Biz, Mo, Regenold, and his employees Amy and Patrick. The time between the sprints was true social, easy pace and even included a dumpster dive for snacks. Eating out of a dumpster has to be an OTNT first.

First time on the new road bike. Performed great. Need to tweak the rear derailleur just a little, and my seat came loose...

Andrei and Pete C. joined us for snacks at the Malt Shop. Long wait at George and the Dragon.
