Trekking 2:30:00 [3] 5.0 mi (30:00 / mi)
shoes: Altra Lone Peak

Trekking, Running and sprinting to assist TC with getting shots for the next GJ video at the Stubborn Mule. We followed WEDALI for 4 CP's, at the 3rd trekking location and hiked around for other shots.

The race management was a little tentative on giving us full race maps, which I understand, but we could not have followed the team, and made it back out, unless we followed them for the entire trek....

We set up one photo shoot on the paddle and caught them coming through a river, under a bridge to a dam, which they had to portage. We wanted to get both shots, but the paddle distance was about 1/4 of the distance we had to travel. A nice sprint to mix things up.

Paula continues to find good challenging areas to conduct her races.

Cycling 1:30:00 [3] 14.0 mi (9.3 mph)
shoes: Sidi Dragon 2

Wanted to follow WEDALI on the Timms Hill trail to the highest point in WI. Arrived at the trail head parking, prepped and went and sat with our bikes at the trail head. We had told them we would meet them at the Waypoint, but figured they had to come to the trailhead and wouldn't wait at the waypoint, so sat down, waited and eventually cat napped. Turns out there were about 4 access points and they went behind us... We eventually got a little frustrated and went to see if the trail had an intersection and we were sitting on a spur trail, no... but did find their probable route. Decided to just ride the trail to get some exercise. Shoulder felt it a bit. We did hike the tower on the highpoint, then rode the roads back. Awesome place for a road ride (we chose a paved route). 8 mile return trip and only saw two scooters and a 4 wheeler.

Trekking 45:00 [2] 3.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

Couldn't stand this sedentary stuff anymore. My college roommate is in town on a consulting gig, so I convinced him to walk around Calhoun with a stop at Tin Fish for dinner.

Note

my right calf has been buggin me for the last few weeks. I entered my shoulder in to my injury log this AM, and it was my left calf that I hurt playing soccer.... Odd.
