1st lap at Murphy. Mo, Clark, Dre, Michael and I. Trails in great shape and the light was perfect. Felt like I was really making progress.

Cycling 1:11:39 intensity: (3:22 @0) + (8:04 @1) + (3:30 @2) + (21:35 @3) + (33:38 @4) + (1:30 @5) 9.13 mi (7.6 mph) +354ft

2nd lap at Murph. Continued the comfortable feeling... until I endoed over a huge rock, landing on my head. Not graceful, minimal damage, but destroyed confidence. :-/

Running 1:01:17 intensity: (19:52 @0) + (1:09 @3) + (21:40 @4) + (18:36 @5) 5.56 mi (11:01 / mi) +701ft 9:51 / mi

And... a little hilly run at Murph. Holy #$%%%@ the hills there are more and larger than I remember. time for a beer.

Ride with Clark. From his place to Murph, one loop, and back. I didn't bother to stop the watch when we stopped, and forgot about it at Chipotle... for about 10 minutes. Still a good 3:30 of saddle time. He was getting bonky on the way back. Thus the chipotle stop....

The river bottoms are flooded on the west end... had to turn around. The 169 area bike bridge and trail are all dry though, but a bit buggy. Murphy must have taken a beating with all the rain. A lot more exposed rocks and roots that I don't remember. We were a bit slow as the fading light made for poor visibility.

A good time. Good to spend a bit of time with Clark also.

A ride with Andrei on a great afternoon. He rode his newly converted single speed. I am sure he is glad that the route was flat.

Orienteering 1:09:10 intensity: (17:07 @0) + (9:37 @1) + (21:55 @2) + (14:30 @3) + (5:34 @4) + (27 @5) 2.94 mi (23:32 / mi) +278ft 21:36 / mi

Erin, Andrei and I volunteered to assist Dana with orienteering skills while dining at Eat Street this past Friday. We decided battle creek would be a good central location and dug out the Red map from the November 2009 meet. 18 controls.... maybe a bit much. I placed 10 - 11, Erin placed the rest. Should have made this an OTNT, but map logistics and training logistics had to be worked through..... and it would probably have been a bit boring.

Orienteering 2:04:13 intensity: (54:30 @0) + (20:08 @1) + (12:04 @2) + (14:46 @3) + (13:26 @4) + (9:19 @5) 4.53 mi (27:24 / mi) +271ft 25:56 / mi

trailing Dana, questioning her thought process, explaining how I would run the leg etc. I tried to reinforce pfc's sphere of error principle, and I think she got it. Lots of newbie type's of errors, but I think we made progress. Erin and Andrei ran together and shared Elite secrets....

Adventure Race 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3

A run from Stevens Avenue to Lake Harriet, where we jumped in the lake with helmets and PFDs. Got a few odd looks, both while running and while jumping in the lake. Back to Lyndale for a slow float down Harriet, creek bombing style.
