Afton meet. Time was around 1:45.... long for a red course. Not running for a few weeks takes it's toll. Navigated OK to about 11 of 14. A bit tentative on others. Big time elevation and rain.

Rain played havoc with the Garmin. Somehow it moved me in to autopause mode.... which caused about a 10 minute gap towards the end of the event...

Orienteering 1:20:00 [3]

Control tape hanging for the MNOC meet on the 19th.

Note

First round of golf league. Started off with a bogey, not too bad considering two warm up swings consisted my entire pre-season effort. Followed that up with par-par-par. Then I hit a nice hook on to Excelsior Blvd for a double. Then I had a nice round of single, double, triple bogey and closed it with a par... 2 shots over my handi. I could have easily been 2 shots under, but thankful that I wasn't 10 shots over. :-)

Cycling 1:38:00 [3] 24.0 mi (14.7 mph)
shoes: Sidi Dragon 2

Ride with Andrei. I needed to do some shopping, so we headed to the Wine Thief, then followed the east river road downtown, trail to the lakes and back home.

The greenway trail between Calhoun and LOI was a wall of bugs for 1/2 of a mile. Literally had to ride in the dark with sun glasses and hands over my face. When I got home, they were all in my helmet and on my head. I have never seen them that thick. It was actually dangerous to ride through. We were going maybe 7 mph.

Running 30:00 [3] 2.75 mi (10:55 / mi)
shoes: Altra Instinct

Treadmill run at work on the new Woodway. 5 of them going side by side and you could understand the conversation of the people 20' away. Super quiet. I wanted to do an outside run, but that is a 5 mile route. A little nervous about getting 2.5 miles away and having to walk back. 2.5 in... and my calf spoke to me just above a whisper... time to stop for the day. I did another 5 minutes walking.
