Ride to Brian's house. 2 100 Oz bladders, food, clothes, bike lock and an extra water bottle of perpetuem in the back pack... heaviest pack I have ever cycled with.

Luce Line Trail out and back with the Gnome Hunter Crew.. Pete, Brian and Dave.

Got caught in pelting rain .5 miles from Brians house. Totally soaked the chamois of all of our shorts.... even though we hid under the Lake Nakomis/Minnehaha Creek bridge.

So the story of the trip was saddle friction, looking out for downed trees (two on Calhoun and many on the trail), and boredom.... Who would have guessed that the trip was mostly an uphill climb to Hutch? It really is so flat that you could coin toss the elevation. Flat makes for constant pedaling... No breaks. Harder than I thought.

Good ride, and good conversation when we felt like talking....

Spent a lot of time in Hutch as Brian flatted just as we got there and we searched for any open spot to enjoy a cold drink as he maintained his bike.

Ride at Murphy over lunch. 52 minutes of moving time. Getting a little better at looking down the trail vs. right in front of my wheel or the tree I am about to hit. A couple of spastic moments. Good fun with some work buddies.

My first CO 14er.

We went to Mount Bierstadt with the intent of crossing the sawtooth to Mount Evans. Early start, great progress, but us flat landers were feeling the altitude pretty quickly. Once we got to the summit, the sawtooth looked too formidable to try. I consulted a woman who blew by us on the way up and she said that there was still too much snow on the crossing. So, we improvised, went off trail and found a new way down the mountain. A little swamp crossing and bushwacking fun. A great way to end the trip.
