Orienteering race 58:50 intensity: (2:04 @1) + (3:59 @2) + (6:10 @3) + (46:31 @4) + (6 @5) **** 4.7 mi (12:31 / mi) +178ft 12:05 / mi

New iMac at home. Apparently, iMAC's aren't compatible with Purple Pen or Quickroute. It will download my GPS files though, and I downloaded Quickroute to my work PC while in Ireland so I could analyze my route's from that meet.

Nerstrand Route

Orienteering race 12:31 intensity: (1:12 @1) + (18 @2) + (3:35 @3) + (7:26 @4) *** 1.09 mi (11:29 / mi) +52ft 10:59 / mi

Fun sprint. I forgot to turn off my GPS. time is approximate. I know I was about 20 seconds off of Tom P., less than 2 minutes off Andrei and Biz. I really felt comfortable leaving the trails and running the woods at Nerstrand. Fun meet.

Looking at my GPS track, I see I forgot to start my GPS also.....

Orienteering 44:50 [3] 2.76 mi (16:13 / mi) +37ft 16:01 / mi
shoes: VJ Falcons

Control retrieval with Erin. A good quick run via trails to the first control. I thought i was going to lose the 5 lbs. of food I had just ingested.... Erin nailed the first one, went a little past the 2nd, then nailed the last two. It was fun to compare attack strategies. On the way back, we went through the woods, trying to keep our eyes elevated and just using peripheral vision to dodge obstacles. Fun, and noone got hurt.

Running 38:00 [3] 5.3 mi (7:10 / mi)
shoes: Newton Gravity Trainer

5 mile loop at work around Normandale Lake. Dre 3000 told me I can't run in his hood without him knowing. This is proof that I can!!!

Cycling (Andrei's OTNT) 1:08:00 [3] *** 13.7 mi (12.1 mph)
spiked:14/17c

Great OTNT set at Hyland by Andrei. 17 controls on the bike in ROGAINE fashion. Only rule was that you had to stay on the paved or gravel trails. I forgot the GPS..... felt lost without the automatic download.

Run around the lakes with Andrei 3000. New record speed for him, so he says. I think we were both pretty pooped after the run.

Cycling 2:24:56 [2] 31.67 mi (13.1 mph)

Ride with Dr. Dre. Disappointed that we could not do the entire Grand Rounds, one of the key bridges is out. We got a good ride in anyway with a little single track, ice cream, and helped Andrei clean his bike post ride.
