Seagate Soccer. 1-1 tie. We started the season with 2 losses, one of them 8-1... We now stand secure in 2nd place. :-) Two more weeks and it is over though. :-(

Nooo Energy.... I managed to make it through the leg presses and dumbell presses, but this was a low energy endeavor. Character builder...

Early game... We were 3 short 5 minutes before the game. 1 short at the start, and 3 subs 10 minutes in. Managed to score early, then they tied with about 15 minutes remaining. We got one with 5 minutes left and held on for the win. 5-0 record this season. 1 game left, then playoffs.

Hanging controls for the Nerstrand Score-O. Great meet with mid 50's number of participants.

Birkie #2 is in the books. I should be happy with this, with the lack of training, but for some reason I am disappointed. I didn't feel well early in the race, the skis seemed slow, and later in the race I was gassed. Poor prep, incentive for #3.

Actual time was around 3:39 ish. You have to ski to the timer. I started the GPS at the gun.

A tough game against the team that beat us in OT for the season win earlier in the year. It was 0-0 with about 5 minutes left to play and we got a nice goal. Held on for the win. Justin tatooed a player on the other team. Pelting him with rockets 3 times. :-)

Awesome contours only OTNT set by Toddp. A lot of fun. Now to look at the track and see if I actually got 5-9.

Vetting the Nerstrand Score O. Pretty nice course. The woods is really open right now. Streams were frozen over, so no worries about getting wet. It looks like I am coming back from Hayward on Saturday, so I will be able to assist Andrei for hanging the controls.

Took the GoPro. A little pre-event Hype to be published soon.

Body Project 1:00:00 [3]

Continue to make progress. 23-4 count dips, 24-4 count seated rows (120lb), 22-4 count squats (165), and my weakness in the overhead dumbell press, a set of 12 and a set of 7 with 35 lb weights. The killer exercise is 2 sets of partner resistance lower back exercises. I thought my hamstrings were going to tear. The PT has a real sadistic side. Likes to see you hurt. Immediately following squats (no break) he gives me 2 -25 lb dumbells and a fitball. You lean against the wall with the ball in your lower back. 5x4 count up/down, 2x2down-10up, 10x2/2, 1x hold the bottom at 10. My legs were shaking so bad he called me Elvis...

My first iMovie made with my GoPro Hero2. The 2012 Pre-Birkie. It is a little hokey, but I'm learning....

A big L.... 2-0 Played almost the entire game. we got down 1 in the first 5 minutes, which got us off of our game. Great competition. We needed to beat this team to win the league... fighting for 2nd now.

Back at it. Having last Thursday off to prep for the pre-Birkie helped. Good to be back at it. PT has me doing goofy weight with dumbell presses. I told him to back off on the legs until post Birkie.

I actually skied better than I thought I would for this tough event. Ski's felt OK, despite the new snow and cold temps. I think it was about 3-4 degrees at the start.

Pre-sorted and started at the 2:30 time slot, which would have been fast for me. There were a lot of 4 hour skiers in front of me though. So much for an honest pre-sort. They played the national anthem, and then boom, we are on our way. I hadn't started my garmin. Double poling and trying to start a garmin sucks... better than Alex though, the start caught him without his skis or poles on, and he was up front....

I went about 100 meters past the start, someone stepped on my pole... my skis went straight up and I landed flat on my back. Caught that with my gopro.... :-)

I stayed steady eddie throughout the rest of the race. Caught an edge once and took a slow tumble. Passed a lot and got passed by a few.

I saw O-Steve on the course twice, saw Charlie S (CAOC) at the gear drop, but noone else from the O crew. Conditions were good, course was hard, glad I went up for it.

Note

Skiing has been tough for me this year. No motivation. I skied a bunch of K on the birkie trail a few weeks back, going back this weekend for the pre-Birkie. Not too optimistic about results.... The plan is to go hard and just collapse for the rest of the weekend....

Lazy game against Andrei's team. I can't figure out why they haven't won more games. Plenty of talent, they just don't click. We ended up winning on two pretty good goals, 2-1. They also had a pretty goal and some good chances. Injuries are killing us. We will see if we can hang on until the end of the season.
