Treadmill, jeez treadmills are boring. But wanted to do some actual running as opposed to floundering in the heat and getting nowhere. Should be a bit easier next week.

Some sight-seeing, down the river to the gardens. Checked out the floral exhibitions, and then went up the skygarden. All very cool, and beautiful views. Was fairly dying on the way home, but went into fort canning to check out some hills but regretted it in the heat. Nice spot though.

Woke up at 04:15 and that was that really. Watched some of the premier league games as they went on and then afterwards decided I’d make the most of the cool weather. Still very humid, and pretty warm. Nice run though, and somehow starting to feel a little more human afterwards.

Used the treadmill in Hugh’s gym to avoid the heat. Set on an interval workout cos it seemed like a good opportunity to finally return to a session. Wasn’t an amazing treadmill so I couldn’t set my own interval session, just use theirs - but I could set total time and max speed, so went for 30mins & 18.0kph (3:20/km). It kinda randomly changed the speed, but basically got something like: 5 x 3min progression (from ~13kph to 18kph in 45sec segments), only realised halfway through though that it was also incrementing the gradient from on later progressions. To the point where later on it was 18kph at 8% incline, which got very tough. Good to do, and suitably cooked afterwards.
Arrived in Singapore about 17:30 (gmt+8) didn’t sleep on the plane which took off at 23:55 (gmt+2), so pretty fried. Met Hugh for a beer and some street food. Considered running, but it was a silly thought really considering how little sleep I’d gotten. Stuck it out till ~23:00 in hope that the tiredness would force a good sleep and I’d be close to missing the whole jet lag thing.
