Into the forest. Scrappy in spots but good prep for latvia, and some faster sections too. Mix of up and down and picking lines etc.

Was tired warning up, didn’t feel as bad once I started, but was watching the kms tick over and I was lacking much to get moving any quicker.
Still, good to get something done. Think I can put this pace down to the last 2 days easily enough.
Calves really quite tight after despite compression socks - grass is bone dry right now.

Aonghus’ hill reps - 3 x ~1km, 100m climb.

With jonnyq & roar. Another very positive session.
Jonny started out a bit stronger than me, tried to keep it controlled, and within touching distance and finished maybe 5s down.
Second one I was still feeling good, so moved up a little, stuck with Jonny, and went a little ahead after the flatter section and finished just in front.
Third one was my final one so tried to go strong throughout. Thought I’d overcooked it a little coming into the car park, but recuperated and put a lot in on the last section. Lovely.
The boys went on for a 4th, but I don’t have to prep for any long shite they do, so was very content with 3 thanks.

Times: 5:44, 5:39, 5:34.

Another very positive session for me. Fastest times I’ve ever run here, and not sure any man has ever run consistent negative splits on this session. Confidence rising and looks like shape is coming.
