Hup. Did the Torres del Paine W circuit, minus the tower section.
Really had no idea how it would all work out at the far side with boat back, and knew weather conditions change fast, so packed probably 3 kilos of stuff to be safe.
Got going and the early undulating single trail was all fine. Took my time, but didn’t get held up too much here.
Once I got to the Italiano hut, the ranger had a go at me for running because it was dangerous to myself and others.
With this in mind, I hiked most of the French valley section up to the top and back. Wouldn’t have been able to go too mad here anyway as it was very rocky, and the single track was quite congested.
Having got back down, ran the remainder to grande Pain. Battery went at a certain point, but timed it from then, and had the distance.

Undoubtedly the most stunning run I’ve ever done. Beautiful area. Relatively surprised with holding up fine in the later stages, just a bit knackered once I sat down.

Most enjoyable outing, having been adopted by the McMillans for the day.
Very nice biking, a lot of off-trail, and trickier than I would be used to.

Lovely little dirt road progression back to puerto Natales with Euzie.
Started chill, then went down 10s /km until the 3:30s area where I was struggling and popped out the back.

Wandered out, and did a 5k tempo round puerto natales.
Nothing too serious, but something to try and keep some fitness.
Was a little hilly, and not always the best surface, but tempo was net downhill I think, so can’t complain. Happy with that all considered.

Jaysus fuckin Christ, sea-level is something special.

Genuinely had worries that I couldn’t run up hills, and that anything under 5 min ks would be an effort for ages after the last few weeks. So this was a thoroughly enjoyable cruise.
