Went to the track. Dismal effort in the end.
Plan: 3k tempo [5min], 6x 800 [2min].
Legs would not shift and ended up doing:
2k tempo [5min], 4x 800 [2min].

The times were not pretty and wasn't feeling it, so just ended up calling it short, but who knows hopefully it was some benefit.
Did 7:30 2k, then optimistically dropped the fat mileage shoes and slipped into flats, but to no avail. Hoping for 2:30s, but did 2:35 - 2:44. Bleugh.

A weak effort. Had planned more like a 10 miler, but was just really struggling, and stomach a bit fecked from a fat lunch. Anyway, called it a day, and went home.

Skipped long run for long cycle to make sure I ain’t doing too much running, suppose no harm in being cautious. But, ended up a bit later than planned so had to take a shorter loop instead of up passed kippure as planned - as I had no lights and it was getting darker.

Anyway, nice cycle. Mad how slow the cx wheels are compared to the old bike, which wasn’t up to much. ~3mins slower on the pine forest climb. Granted there’s a bit of leeway for effort there.

Cruagh tempos: 3 x 15min hilly loop [3min].
Tough session, good though. Relatively consistent. Fairly happy with it.
Did consider doing 3 forest hill reps after, but didn’t see the need in the end. Just jogged back to the stream for a drink, and then down to the car.

Times: 15:05, 15:20, 15:21.

75min steady hills.
Feeling a bit tougher than last week, legs maybe coulda done with slightly more recovery, but all in all, pretty grand at the end.
Through Marlay and up kilmashogue instead of Taylor’s lane to add on a bit more.
If I keep these up a bit, they should be pretty good for me, I reckon, right?
