Decided I am not going to go to WOC.
It's nice to be selected for a few races, but I am just not in shape, which is a shame, but it is what it is. I had mostly decided this about a week or so ago, but I was holding on to run a race against myself as a test. Barring anything extraordinary I was still pretty set on the decision.

I haven't had a solid month of training yet in 2017, and the last month or so has been minimal training, and more focused on becoming injury-free long-term. I don't want to go to WOC with no prep, and I still wouldn't be able to do any decent training between now and WOC anyway.

Right now, I can kind of run, but even on grass my ankle is sore and a bit uncomfortable, so hey. I'm fairly busy with the dissertation and that anyway, so I'll just leave it this year, look towards getting back running and who knows, hopefully next year.

Tymon parkrun

Solo from about 5 metres in. Nice sunny morning for it. Tried to keep it maintained on the uphill on the first lap, nicer on the downhill, then suffering on the uphill on the 2nd, and from there just trying to make it home.
Windy at times, but everywhere is windy, so.

The hills are very gradual, so I think this is a nice course.

Would have liked to have run better, but probably kind of what I should expect off essentially zero training, and no company. Wanted to give it a test though.

4 x ~5min hills on the seat.
Tough enough. Accidentally did the 3rd rep in the big ring on the front, so a little slower there.
Also good the wrong way on a one-way for the last couple hundred metres on each rep, but only got called out once, so not too big a deal I don't think.
