Running 2:00:08 [2] 15.31 km (7:51 / km) +750m 6:18 / km
shoes: Mizuno Waverider 17

Hill run up Mangerton.
Was whacked when we started climbing, and c.hill and conor went up ahead.
Roar stayed back with me, but I mostly walked for a while, getting my legs back, thankfully roar was jogging slowly for me.
Had a slightly flatter section though and I got feeling better again.
Roar and I waited up for Alison and Neil, and then we went around the lake up top, some pretty serious drops, and generally good views.
Chilled back down, and did a small bit extra to hit 15km, and then a small bit extra to hit 2hrs.

Orienteering 51:46 [5] 6.83 km (7:35 / km) +250m 6:24 / km
spiked:17/21c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Double looped mass start.
Started out and was pretty clear I was on the same course as Niall and roar.
Was in behind for a while, niall took a different route and seemed to fall back a bit. Saw conor on the other course a bit. Mistake from Roar, so I take over navigation for 2nd half of first loop.
Finished that loop pretty much with Conor and Roar.
Started next loop. lost maybe 10s to roar on 3 consecutive controls, because of marsh, indecision, and then routechoice, and spent the rest of the course trying to claw back roar's lead, but never quite made it.

Orienteering 42:27 [1] 4.22 km (10:04 / km) +50m 9:30 / km
spiked:2/4c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Collecting controls with Conor.
3 PM

Running 4:33 [1] 0.48 km (9:29 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Orienteering 18:24 [3] 3.07 km (6:00 / km) +100m 5:09 / km
spiked:7/10c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Short relay.
Ran with Kat.
Started a little behind the others, got very confused by the big open depression to 3, and then the pahs afterwards, and really wasted a lot of time there, so it didn't go too well.

Orienteering 7:22 [5] 1.49 km (4:57 / km) +50m 4:14 / km
spiked:3/4c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Short ungaffled mass start.
Was behind c.hill and conor for most of it, passed roar on the long leg to 2.
I messed up 3, but then so did the two in front, so there were 4 of us together-ish as roar caught us again.
I hit the track first and ran fast, so I finished first.

Orienteering 21:31 [1] 2.97 km (7:15 / km) +100m 6:12 / km
spiked:2/2c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Collected 2 controls and then jogged back to dooby's.

spiked:11/15c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Did the first 15 controls from the Munster Champs a few months ago.
Not too many issues, but 14 I found no feature.
2 PM

Orienteering 1:06:47 [2] 7.91 km (8:27 / km) +250m 7:17 / km
spiked:15/17c shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Blue course from a while ago on Crohane lake.
Nice physically by Crohane's standards.
Pretty good but not perfect.
Started easy, but felt strong and was a little quicker in the 2nd half.

Running 1:04 [1] 0.16 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 280 (July '14)

Running 1:32:56 [2] 15.29 km (6:05 / km) +50m 5:59 / km
shoes: Mizuno Waverider 17

90mins.
Exploring the national park.
I had planned more like 15km, but it turned into 90mins.
Ran out with Clodagh to Ross Castle, was slow but good, so I reran the loop after I dropped her back a bit quicker.

Around the dunes and back.
Passed BrĂd, Tony and Claire on their way out as I came back.
Solid breakfast after.
Ain't no better way to start the day.
1 PM

Running 42:30 [2] 7.29 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Waverider 17

Another easy one.
This time on the trails from Dunmore East, and then some road.
Nicest day of Winter yet.

Note
(rest day)

My training plan is calling this a 100km mountain base week. So, we'll see how it goes.
I guess not an amazing start, because Swansea lost badly.
