Good long run in El chaltén.
Not as hilly as I expected for the most part, but made up for it with a serious climb up to Lago de los tres,
Roughly 30% for 1.5km or so. Still, was feeling alright so managed to run the full climb, and had lots of spectators throwing high 5s.
Ran into a decent Irish couple, and a couple from Herriot Watt who spotted the shorts.
On the way back did the ankle in, so missed the last 6.5k or so.
Had first aid kit with me, so tried to wrap it up and compress, and think that made a big difference to the pressure I could
Put on it on the hobble home. All g in the end, even if not ideal. Still got a fairly solid long run in.

Found a big stick and used it as a bit of a crutch in spots.
Was getting dark, and is pure puma country, barely escaped with my life.
Reckon the ankle’s not so bad. Can put a bit of pressure on it, which is more than some previous occasions. More swollen than often before, not as bad as tay 2009 though.
Reckon though timing could have been worse, will see how it develops in next 10days or so.
