White Water Rafting 2:00:00 [3] 2.4 km (50:00 / km)

Trip 4 Water level 60, overcast, Team Legends of IKEA, 4 guys and a lady.
Good paddlers, even raft. Surfing went well, kept out of the way of everyone and they kept out of my way, mainline was good both times. Chicken chute went well. Shelf on the 2nd lap, called a forward when i was in perfect position, but ended up going down shelf sideways. At least not hole.

In my new favourite boat. Fits like a glove.
Started at Surprise surfing spot, ferry guiding, rolling, hanging around the raft as they practiced surfing. Then the water dropped massively, from about 50 down to 20/30? We left surfing immediately.
Down mainline, such a different river. Bumped down it. Scouted what was below, chicken chute and V were particularly rocky, shelf too. Most of the flow was through hole. So kayaked hole. Brought the kayaks up and did it again.
Down on bottom section wobbly table, then wave train.

Back to the top after the rafts left, mainline- did a chute from fakawaka to mainline and down a side chute by accident. Ran hole again. Played around frowning stopper and corner wave, paddling up to practice braking in and other techniques. Bottom section practiced booking off middle stopper.

Tried surfing and ferry gliding and rolled a few times in white water :)

On the flat water practiced rolling onside, offside. Tried handroll and I got it second time!! Tried back deck roll and got it second time!!! Tried dry entry roll, not so successful. Otherwise just messed around and tried to stand on kayaks and stuff.

Today, new river new challenges, kayaked mainline and hole. Rolled so many times and never pulled my spray deck until sam was stopping me rolling up.

Trip 2.
Water level 60, 8 person raft. Regular rafting. Raining.
Guests didn't get down, had to tell them again. Surfing wasn't great, busy.
Main line, went well. Bumper cars in the eddy.
Shelf, overshot by 0.5m on entry, went shelf/hole.
2nd round. Got shelf :)

Trip 3.
Water level 60, 7 person raft, heavy person.
Surfing wasn't great, bumper cars (uneven power in the raft. Try to get weight even and power even during briefing)
Mainline, stuck on picnic rock, 2nd time almost did a oner. Need to get the boat pointing upstream fast (use left back right forward commands especially in main flow) Not great, but didn't oner. Got guests out on the rock between chicken chute and V.
Shelf, nailed it.
2nd time went chicken chute, nailed it.
