Note
Clear skies, sunny, crisp, no wind, very good skiing conditions. Few skiers were out this afternoon, and I have no idea why. The Middle School folks were out, but not the High School; maybe they raced this past weekend and had the day off.
I ran after skiing, and there was enough moonlight that dusk lingered and lingered. There was enough moonlight for distinct shadows on the ground. I ran until Sirius just started coming up over the eastern horizon.
Sirius is a cool star. A lot of the other stars like to rush and push up into view from behind the pine trees, but Sirius is more poised, and knows how to time its entrance. It rises with grandeur.
