Okay, what's in your wallet/capitol, kiddies? Here's what was in mine yesterday, just going to show you never know:

Note

After mucho driving and some walking through various pieces of Yellowstone yesterday, it was back to Grand Teton today for another go at some running. Today's snippet was up to Amphitheater Lake and back from the Taggart Lake trail head. It was unseasonably warm, which actually worked out for a pretty nice running temp. The trail was a very steady grade once the trail made the last branch off from the various trails lower down along the way, completely runnable, especially at the moderate pace I was going at; I wasn't in a rush and didn't want to go hard enough to sweat a lot, since I wasn't carrying water. Great views of the valley once you got up high enough--really great, actually. Quite fun. From start to finish it was a bit over 3 hours running time. Only wildlife seen of any note at all were one not especially deadly snake, and a grouse sitting on the trail that didn't seem very inclined to move over for me (but it all worked out in the end.) Very lucky with the weather to get a day as brilliant as this one was!

Note

I ran for 2 1/2 hours in Paintbrush Canyon in Grand Teton NP. This wasn't long enough to get me to anywhere of note, though I did go hi, hi, hi and then back down, down, down. No grizzlies tried to eat me, which I was happy for!

Quite beautiful, especially the overlooks of String Lake.
