Training Log Archive: Swampfox

Sunny, windy, seasonally mild. Winds were back up today as forecast, and the interstate had signs up warning that light high profile vehicles were restricted. Some nice ice patches had formed across the Happy Jack road in the drift prone areas leading to the ski trails parking lot.

Trails were hard packed today and nearly all loose snow blown off--not my favorite ski conditions but it was still nice enough, especially with the sun and mild conditions. Skied a bit shorter and ran longer today just to mix it up. I could feel my arms some from yesterday, so good. Finished up a half hour or so after dark. No bikers were out, at least none that I saw, which is fairly typical on a Monday or Tuesday after a nice weekend.

No new trees down, so at least in the forest it appears the winds never struck with full force.
