Erik's 1st time out orienteering.

Took him around the orange course. Carried him in the baby bjorn carrier which he's probably outgrown. Thought i'd struggle more with the weight but alright.

Tough course though for carrying a baby due to the climb.

The hailstones hit at the most inopportune time, in the open. Used the map to shield his face but he might have been asleep at the time, he'd fallen asleep by the finish anyways. Jogged a bit of this downhill too to try and get towards shelter.

3rd, but if we hadn't stopped for a quick chat with a work colleague, and also a selfie, 2nd was doable. Think 1st was just too far out of reach.

Avg Cadence = 101rpm

1st half of Italy v Wales. Not too inspiring a half of rugby. Plan was simple, pedal until the half time whistle went. Not too many stoppages so close enough time wise to the 40.

Legs ok but needed to focus on trying to get this short session done.

Sensor I think cut out for a few seconds on occasion.

Got surprised with an hour episode when I pressed play. Might have been ok last Saturday when I wanted something harder but with this being the 3rd day in a row on the bike it meant things were probably going to be harder. Last 10 minutes were hard to keep the Cadence steady but before that it was probably higher than I wanted it to be.

Got the session completed so will see how many more days of this I need to do. Unlikely to run though before physio on Tuesday. I might be able to get outdoors tomorrow but will see how the weather is and also if I’ve the time.

Back on the turbo trainer and probably will be for the next few days. Felt better than last night. Just have to try and stay motivated. Hopefully I might get outdoors on a bike over the weekend, Saturday, might take Erik Orienteering on Sunday.

Put a fresh battery in the cadence sensor and that seems to have done the trick but no guarantee that it was the battery at fault, could just have been in the wrong position or loose.

Calf fine on the bike but not so fine walking around. Did a lot of rolling to it later.

What a load of bollocks.
Calf went after maybe 15 minutes. Left. Spasm i’m thinking.

Ironically I was very close to not running after a very bad nights sleep and a busy day at work. Thought half an hour would help clear my head. Balls.

At least the big grassy field I went running around is nice for some grass.
