Note
(sick)

I thought yesterday was an improvement but come the afternoon it was clear that it wasn’t. Felt rough and throat really bad. Managed a bowl of ice cream for dessert!

Throat has improved a bit today but think I’ll be at home from work again tomorrow. Had yogurt for breakfast, went down ok, and chanced porridge for lunch. Real gourmet diet at the moment.

Think I’ve woke up feeling a bit better in general but throat is in bits!

(sick)

Woke up to throat being fairly sore and just a general ill feeling. Since it was a 2nd day off work a visit to the doctor was sensible. Didn’t find anything very wrong, just said virus. So Home to rest for a few days.

Note
(sick)

No work today, woke up exhausted! Definitely in trouble. Slept a bit for the morning and again in the afternoon so was feeling a bit better before bed.

Turbo Trainer 28:01 [3]
ahr:149 max:164

Wasn’t feeling the best when I got home from work but went ahead with this. Didn’t watch the full episode, took a break after a while and realised finishing wasn’t going to happen, did try to reduce resistance, which was futile.

Bed early.

Golf Course & Knockreer

Managed to get started earlier than usual this evening, had some work to do between Tralee and Killarney so happened to be in Killarney earlier than usual, a co-incidence of course...

So nice to run during the week without a torch.

Legs mostly ok, but achilles took a while to warm up, after that some tiredness in the quads, nothing too bad.

HR was just from the watch sensor rather than chest strap, was high enough early on for some reason. Didn't feel too good in the middle of the run, found the going hard, just a bad patch, manned up and got on with things.

Note

And the plan for this week is:

Monday - Turbo Trainer
Tuesday - Running
Wednesday - Turbo Trainer
Thursday - Running
Friday - Turbo Trainer (*work night out so training might be missed)
Saturday - Orienteering/Bike
Sunday - Orienteering/Bike

Weekdays the same as last week, with probably a longer Tuesday run.

Plan for the weekend is to tag some sites on Tír na Spideoige. Suppose that means I'd better do some map updates and plan a few courses...

Note
(rest day)

I had planned on training but managed to fall asleep when I got home!!!

Oops.

Although if I’m in a state where I fall asleep after work then I must be tired so sleep actually a positive I suspect.
