Note

Lungs feeling a bit sore this morning, i'll take that as a good sign!
Not going to go to Connaught Champs, no point in risking the achilles, better to get it right. Have left the weekend blank, will see what the weather is like. Want to go to Tír na Spideoige for a look around and will also cycle, so depends on the weather forecast. It's looking alright at the moment, and there's bank holiday monday to factor in too, and i'm assuming an hour change maybe.

Monday - Turbo, maybe risk outside if the weather is alright
Tuesday - Physio
Wednesday - Turbo
Thursday - Circuits
Friday - Turbo
Saturday -

Cycling 59:37 [3] 30.72 km (1:56 / km) +287m 1:51 / km
shoes: Spiuk ZS11

Lough Guitane-Glenflesk-Barraduff-Killarney-Mill Road

Got out for a spin on what was a nice evening, only this week left before the hour changes.

Lungs ok I think. Legs felt a bit tired at times after the week off. Didn't enjoy any cycling into the wind. Also left Achilles didn't feel great again today cycling, probably most uncomfortable when out of the saddle. Not a good sign that the Achilles is complaining on the bike. If I don't have the bike it doesn't leave me many options when it comes to running.

Cycling 1:06:33 [3] 33.34 km (2:00 / km) +182m 1:57 / km
shoes: Spiuk ZS11

Had to get out so I did.
Weather overcast but was dry.

Lungs iffy when put under strain, so definitely not 100%, but well enough to survive.

A few bikes out and about. Got caught by the Killarney crew in Fossa on their way home from the Sunday spin, so that made it easier for that section of the spin. Before that out to Fossa and Beaufort it felt like there was a headwind. Wasn't enjoying that so much.

Cycle lane on the main road to Fossa was impassable. Lots of crap there to be cleaned up.

(sick)

Cabin fever has definitely set in by now. Weather bad today but wouldn’t have been up for doing some training anyway. Definitely will have to try and do something tomorrow.

Been thinking about 2018 and what races to focus on.

Think JK is probably, will have to be, the main one.

As for IOC 2018 the chances of defending Middle title is slim, mainly because I probably won't attend.
IOC M/W10 champion of 2028 is on the way, expected in mid/late April, the debate over which club they'll be representing to be decided at a later date, so would be unfair to leave Mary at home for a long weekend that soon!!!

(sick)

I'm still a bit on the sick side. Getting better slowly so should be ok to do something at the weekend. Might need waders at Ross Castle on Sunday based on the amount of rainfall, if the lake goes high then can't see us getting out to extra bit without getting feet wet.

(sick)

Cold now worse after being ok yesterday!
Seem to have a different symptom taking the lime light for the last few days.
Not better though.

Will make a decision on circuits in the morning, suspect it'll be skipped if I had to place a bet on it.

(sick)

Darren - "How's my calf?"
Physio - "A disaster!"

So legs not great it would appear, not that I didn't know that already based on how my achilles has been feeling. More to look forward to next week.

Not feeling great still, more feeling crap than any particular symptom, so wasn't an easy hour to top things off. Despite being tired I then struggled to get to sleep, not helping.

At least Cork City are champions, some good news.
