Getting pissed off being idle so did some analysis of what i've done orienteering wise since I got back from WOC 2011 in France on August 21st, and the stats piss me off even more, not the first one, but the second one i'm pretty upset by.
1. Since WOC i've done orienteering training on 4 days and ran orienteering races 9 times. So a total of 13 days involved there.
2. I'VE BEEN SICK FOR A MINIMUM OF 32 DAYS IN THAT TIME.
That's so many days I can work it out in months, it's 1 month out of 5. Chest not feeling good either, so that might mean action has to be taken tomorrow anti-biotics wise.
10 AM
Note slept:7.0 (sick)(rest day)
Struggled with getting to sleep, then woke up again around 2.30. Decided then was a good time to switch off my alarm for work as not quite ready to return. But there is improvement.
Did get very tempted yesterday by sunny weather (for a small bit) and white on the hills to put on running gear!!! Further evidence i'm getting better.
Went to the doctor yesterday afternoon, she said that there's a virus going around and i'm displayin the symptoms of it. She did say my chest was a small bit caught but only to get the prescription if it gets worse. Not got worse today anyway. My throat is very sore though, think it's as a result of the cough.
So looks like i'll be taking it easy for a few days anyway, until Monday at a minimum I presume.
Not feeling too good this morning so won't be running today. Not sure if I should be at work or at home in bed, I suppose i'll find out the answer to that as the day goes on.
The annoying thing is that my left calf is still sore which is pissing me off. And because i'm not feeling 100% I don't have the interest to do as much stretching as I should be. Although it is getting rest.
10 PM
Note
Came home from work early to bed, a nap helped, but think chest could be in trouble. We'll see how things are in the morning, maybe a visit to the doctor is needed, it's been a few weeks since i've seen one of them!
Calf tight today so need to sort that out otherwise running isn't going to be fun this week.
Got plan for start of the week sorted but definitely up in the air for the end of the week and weekend.
Monday - Turbo Trainer
Tuesday - Running
Wednesday - Intervals
Thursday - Turbo Trainer
Friday - ???Rest???
Saturday - maybe cycle in Tralee with Chain Gang
Sunday - longish run around Killarney, not too bothered about o in Kenmare.
6 PM
Note (sick)(rest day)
Planned turbo session cancelled. Body feeling pretty crap, hoping it's just overtired and not some bug. Will know more tomorrow I suppose.
