Orienteering 24:30 [3]

Day 5. Did lots of running & it was easy today.
There was a prizegiving at the end and everyone on the course got a medal & a bar of chocolate and everyone clapped.
Then we went to the seaside.

Orienteering 35:10 [3]

With daddy.
It was a long walk to the start & back from the finish.
Much easier than yesterday.

Orienteering 34:10 [3]

It was really steep today, and the course started really easy but got really difficult at the end with no paths, so Daddy showed me how to set the map with my compass & follow the line to cut across and pick trees to aim towards.

W10

Orienteering 45:34 [3]

More of the same, and I did beat Mummy on the run in - I went faster than yesterday (even though I dropped my map & had to go back for it) and Mummy was really tired after being out for hours!!
We had to cut across to get to the last contropl, too.

Orienteering 41:30 [3]

First day of proper orienteering in Slovenia.
I got changed from the kiddies course up to W10 (because Mummy or Daddy could come with me) & it was sooo hard - it wasn't like a white course where there is a control at every junction, there was one leg where there were 5 junctions between controls, we went paast one because it was on a hill next to the path, and I couldn't see where the paths were, either.
I was only a bit slower than Mummy on the run in - I'm going to beat her tomorrow!

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

Walk around some orienteering controls with daddy in Slovenia. I couldn't see the paths and it was really rocky & hot.

Bike (road/turbo) 1:10:00 [3]

LCCC under 8's skills training at Curborough.
Did 3 laps warm up, limbo, scootering, seat pushing, running start and a few more laps.
Didn't do any wheelies or jumps or picking stuff up off the floor.
It was all in the rain & it was really cool.

Swimming 30:00 [3]

Last one of the term. Managed 25m crawl :0), but left arm didn't come all the way round all the way so I'm back in Annes group in September :0(
I'll practice lots over the summer.
Dan is mooving to a Monday, so even if I got promoted Dan wouldn't be there anyway..

Note

Chasers summer handicap run & BBQ, but I'm so tired & sneezey, so I went to take photos with Mummy instead of running.

Sunday Jul 12, 2009 #

Swimming 55:00 [3]

More practising in the big pool with Mummy.

Note

Went to see the athletics in Birmingham with Mummy. I don't want to do pole vault when I'm older, but the steeplechase or the 400m, I think.
I'm a very tired bunny....busy weekend, but FUN!!

Dance 30:00 [3]

Last Little Luvies of the summer - no more until September

Obstacle course 10:00 [3]

Army obstacle course at Cliffhanger. Once at the beginning & once at the end. I liked swinging across on the rope.

Orienteering 3:00 [3]

Labyrinth orienteering. It was really difficult - if you set your map & went, there were fences in the way to stop you.
Mummy did well, though, she beat Daddy by a second on the really long, difficult course!

Climbing 10:00 [3]

Had a go at 2 climbs on 2 different towers. The first one was too difficult, the second one I just didn't want to go up any higher, but it was fun coming down on an automatic belay.

Archery 5:00 [0]

I tried this for the first time ever, but never managed to hit the target, it was too far away. Daddy was good at it, though.

Kayaking 10:00 [3]

Canadian canoeing with a man around the lake. It was really good, but I wanted to be in my own canoe. I have to wait until I'm older before they let me try it by myself.

Slack lines 5:00 [3]

Really difficult tightrope walking.

Swimming 30:00 [3]

School trip to conkers - Nain was very tired afterwards, but she still took me swimming while Mummy was in London.
Tried really hard with my front crawl & breathing. Next week I get to try again!
No orienteering tonight cos Mummy is coming home!

Sunday Jul 5, 2009 #

Swimming 1:00:00 [3]

Practising with Mum & Dad, mostly in the big pool, mostly doing front crawl with my face in the water, yay!!
At the end did a width of the big pool racing the daughter of one of Mummys friends from work & it was a draw!
Did som under water swimming, jumping in & handstands too, & I can pick up a locker key from the bottom of the big pool - easy!!

Little Luvvies

Bike (mtb) 1:45:00 [3]

Ride with Mum & Dad home from Rifle Ranges. Rode up some really big climbs but had to push sometime too. Got a bit fed up & stroppy sometimes when I couldn't do it, but the chocolate brownies helped me through. One horrible fall that made me cry lots at the bottom of the German Cutting, but at least I didn't land in the nettles.
