Leinster 3 Day, Day 1.
Compartments sore on way to start and during course. Wrecked as well, only really got up to jogging pace. Technically fine, 5sec miss to 16 and hesitant on 13 and 17. Very far down, understandably.

I figured Donadea would be a bramble fest. Unfortunately Cruagh and Pine Forest is quite mingin as well, lots of thinning and storm damage. This was meant to be a middle qual/middle final training day but really struggled to keep motivation and intensity due to the terrain. It's also really weird how loads of gullies are mapped as earthwalls and vice versa. Lead to lots of hesitations. Didn't really enjoy it and didn't feel like I got much benefit which I think is the main problem with trying to train orienteering in Ireland.

A little more enjoyable but still some unpleasant sections. Good compass work though. Left shoe felt weird for ages. Has started to detach from the sole. Managed to stave off any damage.

Along the Dodder to Bushy. Never really been along it before. Really nice route, especially in the sun, but a bit too much hard ground. Legs were battered by the end.
