Grass / road / trails warm up/down 10:00 [2]

Orienteering race 2:02:45 [4]

10mila. Last leg on the second team. My team finished 76th.
I had a clean O race, even though it's not hard to be clean when going slow. Apart from a few tiny seconds around a flag or two i only made one mistake where i took the wrong track for 150 meters. It was easily corrected by taking a track junction which connected me back on my route.
I was with some guys for the first half. They were slightly faster than me at times. But they kepted winding on the route and missing in the circles that i caught them up all the time. I walked a tiny bit at the end. Even on a big road for 30 meters. I was approaching total tiredness, level shagged. I'm using my compass alot nowadays. It's not as stable as i think it should be. When does a compass need to be replaced? I saw the Moscow guy guarantee 3 years and it got me thinking about how often i replace a compass.
I had a good time in this forest. I even slept 5 hours in a nice hostel bed. Having a smart phone to follow the results is great. Especially when you can give yourself more time in bed because your team is loosing more time in the night...

Grass / road / trails 30:00 [2]

It's a good sign that a few hours after this run I'm eager to run again. Just have to keep stretching often.

Note

I'm decided on running the sprint at EOC. I was selected for relay and any other distances. But after i mentioned my back problems and bad training i was kicked off the relay team. Which is a good decision.
I wasn't sure i would run EOC at all. But i figure this one time i'll take my spot in the aim of gaining motivation to train. If i ran a second race like the middle i think i'd only tire myself out too much. I'll do fine with just two sprints and maybe some training maps.

Road 16:30 [2]

I did a pre breakfast run when i got into work.
When i woke up i felt for it and just decided to dress and go straight into work. It brought a strong smile on my face. Running past the early morning workers felt something like this. Minus the drugs. But yeah seriously it felt so great.
I think this is how i get back training everyday. Not necessarily the pre breakfast part but the first thing in the morning part. I stretched after. Need to be a yoga guru or else my back problem will return.

Note

I'm selected for the 18km last leg on the second team at Tiomila. Makes sense. If a monkey picked the team.
