Orienteering race 1:30:23 [2] 11.38 km (7:57 / km) +248m 7:10 / km

11.376km with 248m climb in 1:32:22. Lulled into a false sense of security after yesterday. Was a lot harder today. Should of taken more Cate after overshoot 1. 2 ok but then a real disaster at 3. Must of been right of where I tjought then headed further right. Ended up climbing a dune next to a very obvious sand slope not marked as sand. Stood there 2 or 3 mins trying to work out where I was. Square blocks obvious but quite a lot of them on the map. 10 mins for a sub 3 min leg. Just trying to stick with it from here. Lost a bit more on 7 and 13. Most coming down at end making it even more interesting. Tiring at end the climb was adding up.

Will look to come back and put matters right some time.

6.089km with 78m climb in 0:39:19. Sw middle champs. A new sand dune area for me relatively straight forward nav. Trying to push hard but mot got the fitness to do it well. Almost. Miss punched 3 but checked the code. Slight overshoot at 11. Probably less than 30s lost. expect Clive to ne at least 5 mins quicker.
