Gatineau Loppet, day 2

Relegated to the B wave this year due to my performance last year I guess. Actually it's not too bad as I was able to jump in the lead pack and draft in the -2F weather (without windchill). Felt decent until the turn onto trail 3 and the tendinitis in my left elbow started making noise, especially while in V1. For awhile I wasn't sure if it made sense to continue. Eventually we turned out onto the parkway and it settled down to a more reasonable level while in V2. Lack of skiing/snow is most likely the culprit. Certainly not because I'm getting older... Finished 108th I think

Great conditions for a race. Bomb proof kick but not a lot of glide. Felt good all day with the exception of the last 5k which exposed my severe lack of preparation this year. Loved the point-to-point course.
