Running tempo (Wimbledon Parkrun) 16:24 [3] 5.0 km (3:17 / km) +15m 3:14 / km
shoes: Inov8 Xtalon 212 0216

Dragged to park run this morning with my sister and Nic. Went to Wimbledon which was a new parkrun for me :). A really young guy went out very fast but then slowed down just after we finished the first lap. That pushed me to go quite a bit harder than I would have liked. But good tempo pace anyway.

Parkrun PB :).

Cool post from Nopesport recently found by one of my club mates: "It was awesome to see a South African get a fully-deserved spot in the sprint final this year (tying with a WOC silver medalist to qualify)."

My sister and Nic are in town so just a bit of a walk around the University and through the park towards Bayswater for dinner. After dinner just a shortish walk through Notting Hill and Holland Park. Maybe I'll go for a run tomorrow...

Orienteering race (Lloyd Park) 24:00 [3] 5.5 km (4:22 / km) +78m 4:04 / km
weight:67kg shoes: Inov8 Xtalon 212 0216

More Orienteering?! Quite far to go for a park race but it was nice to be back in London again. Body is feeling really tired. I think that at some point last night I woke up with really bad cramps in my legs that didn't go away...

Time for a bit of rest and recovery. I'm actually really looking forward to work over the next five weeks. Exciting stuff is happening. It's been a bit slow waiting for things to grow so far, but next week things will start to get hectic.

Also pretty surprised with the win. Didn't push very hard because the legs were really tired. Maybe Barrable's gamble with shorts was his demise...
