Orienteering race (Golden Harvest) 17:34 [3] 3.6 km (4:53 / km) +90m 4:20 / km

Firstly... nice new map and interesting courses.
1: Quite a difficult control to go into first. Had to get into the scale and the area and the paths were not very clear (unless I just mistook a random path going into the dense bush as a path ;) ). Faffed a bit but still seemed to have the fastest split.
2: The plan was to go as straight as possible but Glynn pulled me high above the buildings (I had wanted to go straight past the building).
9-10: probably the most interesting route choice. I saw both options (not the dodgy option through the green though). I decided to pick the southern option to actually test the route choice. Earlier I had seen most people take the northern option so I thought that it would be interesting. Turns out that the dodgy option through the green was the fastest. In sprint O I try to avoid options like that because you can really get screwed over. In this race it might have paid off, but it could have been a 15-30 second mistake.
12-13: I did slow down on this leg... mainly because I was trying to find a good crossing point. The water was particularly...murky... In a champs race I probably wouldn't have been so careful.
16-17: probably could have gone to the west exiting the control and then running straight down the undergrowth. I went directly south so there was a bit of running along the road. Would have been nice to compare splits with Brad for example (if he wasn't injured).
19-finish: Faffed a lot. Hadn't really read ahead so a few seconds lost here.
