Note
(sick) (rest day)

The only thing that's been good this winter - staying healthy - can be now forgotten. Got back from full day of LS-37 and thermometer says 38.3°C.

Skiing 1:11:02 [1] 15.72 km (4:31 / km) +15m 4:30 / km

With Assu on top of Waterlake. Saw some wacky nature made ice sculptures near Messilä (1, 2)

Could it be that Teivaa harbour is 2-3m higher than Messilä. Altimeter graph points out to that direction.

Can it be counted as a training if hr is 100-150 for 90min while lying on a sofa? España 1 - 1 Finlandia. Muy bien!

Helsinki.

Skiing 1:53:34 [1] 22.91 km (4:57 / km) +395m 4:34 / km

Went out a bit later to keep on eye on possible fox's fires but didn't see any. Even the new poles didn't help the very tired feeling at the end.

Note
(rest day)

Apparently I'm in bad shape cause two days of training got me whacked (British version, not American).
Should've started skiing earlier on and not listen to the doctor. This morning was the first time in over a month that going down stairs didn't hurt. And the left knee doesn't seem to be any bigger than the other.

Skiing 1:54:44 [2] 24.25 km (4:44 / km) +316m 4:27 / km

Knee didn't get worse from yesterday so thought I'd try freestyle. The plan was to go meet monday runners in SC, barely made it (had to keep pretty good pace).
7-11km was in excellent shape, I recommend.

edit. Forgot to mention. Either I have build up extra power during the rest era or the expiry date of my 15 year old poles was today. Specifically right hands strap. Last 5km was a bit harder.
