Note

Visited a third physio in half a year. Seemed like a decent guy. Like the previous one, he promised that no knife needed.
Funny thing happened at the physio's office. After a while of interviewing, he asked: On monday, did I pass you at Messilä right at the end? So he's an Yökuppi'ist.

First time I actually ran this summer on the pitch. Or tried to look like I'm running. Back was OKish.

The physio said he hasn't ever seen/felt so stiff quadriceps and that their stiffness could easily make the back healing more difficult. So special attention to them.30min.

LS-37 weekly evening event, Hälvälä.
Courageously I picked A-route map and the plan was to hike it all the way. At the "valley of head sized stones" the back got slightly bad. At the moment I take no chances with it at decided to walk/jog to the finish.

The rain drops sort of messes up the audio and mostly also the visibility. Then again, I'm surprised how well the deshaker works even with very wet lens.

Today Yökuppi 10th anniversary. Live at 22:00 (mass start).

I was still at my car while others were half way the hill climbing up to the start. Haven't been that out of breath in maybe 10 months.

Yökuppi 5, 10th anniversary, Messilä.
Haven't done anything anaerobic for quite some time now and that really showed...
I checked compass maybe 15 times towards the #1 and didn't follow anyone and still found myself from the A-class numero uno.
Then to #2 things got better. I was pretty much at the back of the pack and while all the others went left after the reservoir, I kept my mind and continued straight. After a while climbed to the Tiirismaa ski-route, look to the left and I was leading the race. Found the #2 first but Tuomo had faster legs and he punched first. Same thing to #3.
Then on the way to #4 I tripped a bit (stayed on my legs though) and felt a nasty feeling at the middle of my back -> walk-collecting the rest of the controls.
It was fun after a while of not compeeting at any level. Running felt exquisite just before the fall. So maybe it felt too exquisite...
