Jukola 2012, Vantaa. Lahden Suunnistajat -37 3rd team, 6th leg.
Not fully sure why I was put to this leg since with my pace I would've deserved short leg in 5th team. Guess it was because I participated SG (one official qual comp).
▷-7 Everything went fine. A very little mistake midway to 2nd. A.Lamminpää caught me in the climb for #5.
7-8 Since my left leg is the least powerful at the moment and sometimes it sort of "gives in" cause of the nerve based pain, my right foot is often stuck to even very low obstacles. This time I think it was basic root of a pine tree. So a Finnish baseball type of dive and the back got way worse.
8-9 Despite my decreased speed, caught Antti
9-11 Saw a lot of people wandering around #11 but I went there straight. 50m after the cp I saw Antti standing still looking at map. With a little guidance, he got a hunch of the cp.
11-12 Went straight, should've gone from right.
12-14 Perfect except on #14 for 3s I was looking for a stone.
14-15 Saw this one on the big screen during the warm up and I had plan for it for the part I saw on the screen (no CPs there). Executed the plan well up until after the pond. Didn't see the cliff and I was sure I climbed up right from the cliff (since I ran on marsh, climbed a little knoll, then ran on marsh again). Then navigated myself to the cp, which wasn't there...
Rest of the way: Somehow that mistake got myself all confused and I made mistakes to all the remaining CPs...

Note

It's sort of hard to believe that this is the brightest future of Finnish female orienteering

At least 2/7 youngsters which I chauffeured got into the JWOC.
