On request of T. Silvonen and cause of new release of karttapullautin, here's unmapped area from Heinola. Which should be good according to Tomi. Either me or Tomi (or both) will check it out soon.

Tested out properly also open orienteering mapper. Excellent tool and I can't see why it wouldn't replace ocad in near future. Only down side at the moment is lack of exporting possibilities. Otherwise in some point, it worked much more "anticipatedly" than ocad.

edit.
The bare rock layer had for some reason misaligned. Now fixed.

Nice games. Felt like I had ran a bit faster yesterday than I had for a while. Had the energy to run forwards but not to defend.

Had a nice feeling since back has been slightly better the past few days. My pace is still so slow that also navigating is rather easy. Only mistake was the same type as All-in had on last saturday. I could've even won without it..

Nokia's random DJ was on fire: Simple man, Sleeping in my car and Bad in a row. "Bad" is a bit too good of a walking song. Or atleast I thought so when seeing the facial expression of the jogger who passed me.

Visited a third physio in half a year. Seemed like a decent guy. Like the previous one, he promised that no knife needed.
Funny thing happened at the physio's office. After a while of interviewing, he asked: On monday, did I pass you at Messilä right at the end? So he's an Yökuppi'ist.

The physio said he hasn't ever seen/felt so stiff quadriceps and that their stiffness could easily make the back healing more difficult. So special attention to them.30min.

LS-37 weekly evening event, Hälvälä.
Courageously I picked A-route map and the plan was to hike it all the way. At the "valley of head sized stones" the back got slightly bad. At the moment I take no chances with it at decided to walk/jog to the finish.

The rain drops sort of messes up the audio and mostly also the visibility. Then again, I'm surprised how well the deshaker works even with very wet lens.

Today Yökuppi 10th anniversary. Live at 22:00 (mass start).

I was still at my car while others were half way the hill climbing up to the start. Haven't been that out of breath in maybe 10 months.

Yökuppi 5, 10th anniversary, Messilä.
Haven't done anything anaerobic for quite some time now and that really showed...
I checked compass maybe 15 times towards the #1 and didn't follow anyone and still found myself from the A-class numero uno.
Then to #2 things got better. I was pretty much at the back of the pack and while all the others went left after the reservoir, I kept my mind and continued straight. After a while climbed to the Tiirismaa ski-route, look to the left and I was leading the race. Found the #2 first but Tuomo had faster legs and he punched first. Same thing to #3.
Then on the way to #4 I tripped a bit (stayed on my legs though) and felt a nasty feeling at the middle of my back -> walk-collecting the rest of the controls.
It was fun after a while of not compeeting at any level. Running felt exquisite just before the fall. So maybe it felt too exquisite...

First my expectations were really high cause on base-map it looks good and it fulfills my good terrain criteria. But then Jagge warned that there might be a lot of old clearings or what's worse, "young forest". But tomorrow I'm wiser.

Hiking and inspecting part of the Lumijärvi-terrain. The start was wet and amazing. I was stoked about the bare rock hills. But soon I found out it was the only part that had "enough high trees". The rest of the way wasn't bad and I can sure see the potential of the terrain but it was just too much of clearing, old and new.

LS-37 evening event in one of the best terrains in Lahti area: Tuohijärvi. Jogging and walking until couple of wasps attacked me. Cause of last year's fever and swollen leg (in Germany) incident, I decided to head towards the finish.

If someone in Hollola wants to test run Karttapullautin map (this is now lacking 1m cliffs):

I'm pretty sure no-one's interesred, but a little update about my back:
Visited yesterday a new physio all the way up in Orivesi. A guy called Jarmo Koli. After seeing the MRIs, he was sure I don't need a knife jabbed into me (which was the orthopedics only possibility). Instead a really simple exercise should do it. Push-ups so that the pelvis stays on the ground. Ten every hour. Only problem is that he made me do maybe a bit over hundred already there and my arms feel like over cooked spagetti.

I''ve done some trainings but they've been so randomly rare that haven't logged them.
But this one's an exception:
One of the top5 terrains and especially maps that have really stuck into my mind is 1997 normal dist. Finnish Champs at Ponsa. Ponsa map is on the Hollola - Orivesi way so I had to visit it.
Ran my 15 year old A-final course. This time tried to to the 5th leg a bit better than back in the day. Big clearing at the end was a little downer but anyways the picture in my head remained. Exceptional terrain / map!
