I think this was the fifth "this is the last time I run LTdGBL this season"-run. Though it seems it wasn't the last time.. Not a single step on snow. Lots of fallen trees though.

Did some calculation from yesterday's course. It seems I crossed 82 (upwards) contour lines. Resulting of 410m of climb. That means 14% constant uphill to the midway, then same as a downhill to the finish. No wonder it felt a bit tough.

Also another note. I've come up with an easy way to recognize good terrain without visiting the place. What do these terrain's have in common? (other than being great)

Super duper terrain. Shouldn't have waited 10 years to get back there.
This is a track I'd recommend every orienteer to go through once or twice in his/her lifetime. The slow pace doesn't come from bad surface, but more or less from just physically challenging terrain. And also from the fact that I used a very shady path for maybe less than 100m. One clearing, otherwise very old spruces and pine trees (and trees fallen on their own). Saw a 30 pine tree falling 50m behind me on that only clearing. Almost just where I had went a minute ago.
I thought I visit #4 but when I was going to #5 I realised I didn't.

Tomorrow we gonna do a year 2000 World Cup track from Riihijärvi. Haven't been in that terrain in about 10 years. If I remember correctly, it's pretty awesome.
I'll post more exact time in the morning but it'll be around 11:30 when we get to the forest.
Try to get some onboard footage as well. We'll see how it goes.

It didn't start with intensity 1... Left home 9-8min to 18:00. I was late 3min but it still meant 'round 4min pace without warm up (2,7km to Bullis).
Home - Bullis - around Kintterönsuo - Korpikankare - Messilä - TV tower - water plant - home. Accompanied by Assu, Hämis, sulttaani and Terkelsen (left home at Villinpellot).

If anyone wanna join, me and sulttaani have a plan to go and run some world cup track from Pääsinniemi (Fin5 2000) on saturday (noonish). We only lack the map but I'm working on it.

Monday long with Assu, jusbet and sulttaani. Actually this wasn't long in a way we've determined it but this time we had good pace (it was slippery). Running felt the best it has for a long time. Only the downhills were agony with this back.

Went maybe a bit better than I thought. Left hamstring/glute/lower back was bad whole time and every time I passed the start point I wanted to leave it there. But had a good race against Turskis and Paroni so couldn't.
