Game against HU-46 at Hollola gym. We won first 6-4 and second minigame 2-1.
The court was probably 10-15m longer than the official sized one and it meant mostly good for me. After all, running is my best ability in all the ballgames.

Eight times pretty much walking with good pace. First three on my own and then with Jones, Elisa M., Markku L., and AÖ.
It was pretty muddy and towards the end my energy reserves were getting pretty low.

Yökuppi 12, Majuanmäki, Asikkala.
It didn't start all that good. I knew from summer's district champs that the tracks from the start weren't too visible during the daylight and still I had to go and look if I could see 'em better at night. Didn't. 2-5 OKish. To #6 I was going all well and think I would've found the cp on my own but Hämis made a small mistake on that and his light was coming towards me right before the cp. I guess that helped a bit. Then got more help from him to #7. Lost him right after as I seemed to lost my brains also. Just kept on going forward... Over 6min mistake to the last one. But after that happened something that erased the bad feelings away. When I got to the last road towards finish, running felt better than it has ever felt. And I mean it. I would've wanted the last leg to be 2km long so I could've enjoy every mm of it. Hope the feeling lasts.

Halikko-viesti 2010, 5th leg.
I was sure I would get a good head start before Pexi but the 3rd leg runners came within like a minute. Fortunately Mika ran well and gave me few minutes of advance.
Since I knew Timo would leave some minutes behind I started really carefully. #1 spot on but a bit slow. After first cp I fell down (it was icy) above two cliffs and fell to the bottom. This will come relevant after a while. Next four controls with maybe altogether 10s of mistake. Then the only notable, though a really small mistake to #6. Read the map incorrectly and thought the cp would be under a different cliff. During the next leg I started to feel like my map was getting moist and also kinda sticky. A glimpse downwards and I realised my shirt and number bib were all bloody. Traced the blood flow to my elbow. It was messing up my map so bad that changed the map to my right hand which felt a bit strange at first. The rest of the course went again without any real mistakes. Legs had felt pretty good until the #13. Few really physical legs got them really sore and stiff but fortunately almost only downhill to the finish.
I am really satisfied to this run. One of the best this season. I tried to find a team to run at Smålandskavlen but now I think it's good to end the official competitions here.

Workplace's session.
No one told me there was going to be a training match this time. So the intensity was a bit higher than I had planned. This one guy on the opponent's side was the most talented floorballer I've ever played against. I've never been so confused into which direction I should go when he in this one attack had first passed two of our guys. But not all was bad. At the end of the game I was put as a forward for the last changeover. In that changeover I made the only goal we made in the last 10min.

Don't know the time and quite frankly don't care (so as well in aaanttol band wagon!). Ran a bunch of times to totally wrong direction until on the way to #10 I realised the reason. Let's just say that I wont be holding the tracking-Nokia on my left arm (in which I have my thumb compass as well) anymore.

First some warm up hand/basketball, then some running, then running technique, all sort of jumps and to finish it off, our sadistic "coach" (Leena K) put us to do three sets of 10 x 1min circuit training. Pretty sure I'm not gonna be able to get out of bed tomorrow.

In advance I knew my pace wouldn't be enough so I aimed in mistake-free performance in this pretty familiar terrain. First part happened, second didn't.
Some of the mistakes I can live with but few were just plain stupid for a guy who has ran every single meter of every single path on that map... Funniest thing is that on #9 I punched same time with JB and thought I'd follow today's winner for as long as I can. Just my luck that he made his only mistake on this leg (12/14 1st places in splits)...

25manna 2010, Löt. Leg 5 C.
After wednesday's Yökuppi I was really sceptic about making a good race out of this. But as the sun came out from the clouds and the first legs had gone pretty good, I had to try my best.
On first leg I knew all the time where I was with about 25m radius. Should've known better. Went to the wrong forking but realised pretty quicly I was too much to the right. Then much more stupid mistake to #2. Read the map only in the beginning and then just ran to the direction everyone else went. Just to find out these everyone elses had a different forking. Stood still for some time and then headed towards my own cp. At this point I made a virtual douple slap to my face and thought "what was the name of the Aerosmith album with pierced cow teat". This helped. No more mistakes until a small one at #10. With this solid navigation I overtook Larry Duck 3-4 times though he ran much faster.

I'm a bit confused with the leg times... Winsplit times are (at least I think they are) from triangle to finish but they just don't match with the "running" times from the 25manna website and exif data from my camera.

If my calculations are correct, I will lose 0.02 pts to Wilho in ranking. And if that wouldn't be enough, my saturday's performance is 0.2 pts away from being the 5th best competition this year. Meaning that if I would've been 42nd instead of 44th, I would be ahead of Wilho...

My stomach was twisting and turning before the start and running didn't particularly help. But can't say that the performance came as bad as it did because of it. Two pretty big mistakes cause of lack of concentration. From #6 to #4 and 180 degrees wrong direction from #9. After this Assu caught me and I followed him till #16. Then he made a mistake and I was alone. Then I made even a bigger mistake. Went 5m below the cp.
Weekend wasn't really what I expected of it after some good night-os. Most likely didn't even take over Wilho in ranking.

Have to tell you pretty funny dialogue from friday. AÖ caught me and had followed me for two legs. He shouted to Jaani Lantela in front that "in which group are you in?"
"Group 4"
"F*ck"
At this point I was second in that train and thus first in group 3-train. I shouted backwards "For quite some time I've just followed Jaani and haven't read the map. But I'm sure Jaani's forking is close to our's so we get at least near...". After I had found the cp, some random guy told me that my comment as a leader of the train didn't really build up the confidence in me.

Straight up the first leg was bas ass. I found it well but spent 1-2min too much getting there. The swamps were really tough to go through. Then some easier legs. They went well. At #9 I realised next one is the one that separate boys from Nordbergs. I turned out to be a boy... Then AÖ caught me and I got him out of the woods in good time.
