Pilvijärvi.
Maybe an hour of effective training. 1'15 in total.
Nice terrain. Like all the ones around. First two legs I ran behind youngsters but they promised me that they'll be okay on their own (and made a 5min mistake to the next one).

Landbo
All-in put only half of the training's time but for me following the youngsters was almost intensity 2 training.
Voimis junior will be world class orienteer one day. This was a mass start training and at #1 we made a well thought plan to #2. He started to follow a 10 person train first but after 50m realised they were going too much right. Took his own choise and left them all behind him.

Finnspring relay, H21AL Lahden Suunnistajat 2nd team
First competition on Finnish soil this year. Took it still with 85% and downhills very cautiously. Just because in Hungary the short full speed tries felt like thunder lightning in my left glute.
The idea was to make it with zero mistakes and I'm pretty sure I could do that with this pace but I guess my thoughts are still a bit in the cautiosness. Nevertheless, great fun to compete in pretty good terrain.

Sprint training in Söderkulla. Not sure about the time but I put 7min more to All-in's time.
Nothing special about the "terrain". The urban part was kinda lame and forest part a bit too easy. Guess it would've been nicer with better pace.

Yökuppi LIVE is on at ~21:30 (GMT +3). I will be wearing two Nokia phones (one with old symbian tracking and one with new browser based), one bt-gps-logger and one gopro. Gonna try out how well it will work in the dark.

Went it with 80% pace though in couple of uphill close to 100%.
One big mistake. Big rock right next to the path. I'd say it was a bit further away from the path that in the map but anyways a stupid mistake. If there is such a thing as clever mistake though..

Note

New try
Tytti Kirvesmies in last year's WMOC terrain. Notice how much of ramsons in the ground. Hard to place your foot.
And it's on mute on request of Miss Timber (it was a training with her father/coach where she was telling all the time what she's doing).
Still not perfect since I thought that Tytti had HR in the gpx but she didn't.

What do you get when you don't follow the instructions but want to skip one step: a misaligned headcam video (All-in's Postas Kupa relay)
Just follow the ball pen's line a little north all the time.

Yökuppi 2, Hälvälä biathlon stadium.
The start was maybe 100m away from where I live. So the surroundings were somewhat familiar. For this reason I lead the B-class for the whole 200m. Overtaken by a guy who has lived in the same area as well (the start was towards west, #1 at almost east).
Easy course and the only real mistake I did was that I tried to go to #7 after #2. Lost to Tuxi (the guy who passed me in the start) at the 11-12 with wrong route choise. I thought the path would be in better condition but it was awful (water underneath the snow in many parts).

Yesterday was just a warm up. This time we went all the way. From Laszlos place to the TV-tower. It was a bit gusty up there.

Very nice training (All-in's map) by Ferenc. Loved it actually.
Pace wasn't anything spectacular and sometimes I got help from seeing the others but still it was great fun. Right in the end got also a bit off course by following a "Suomi"-shirt. Thought it would be a shirt to rely on.
Found seven ticks after the training. Hopefully it was all there was...

Afternoon walk
with Teemu. Decided to stop by at the uphill LS-37 lodging. Something like 150m of climb. Then coming back with a scpecial route that had David Copperfield dogs and a full "street" of abandoned spooky houses.

The night at the local dorm didn't help my situation.
The mattress I slept on was made out of plywood, the temperature in the room was close to 30 and that friggin' rooster strated its morning voice rehearsals at 5:00 (and lasted till the time of getting up).

So, instead of racing, I focused on shooting.

Postas Kupa Middle dist.
Back didn't feel that good this morning so I decided to take it pretty easy. Soon I realised uphills were almost fine but there the lack of uphills during the past winter showed somehow.
Biggest mistake straight to #1 with going over a path without noticing it. Then pretty solid performance technically.
Downhills were pure agony at times. Last orienteering leg was almost the same as this map's 8-9 and it took me 9min. Without any mistakes.

Eventhough this great performance gave me a spot in PVSK relay team in the afternoon, I kindly gave it to someone else.

In centrum of Pecs.
Felt surprisingly good. Momentarily I ran with almost the max pace I'm capable at the moment.
One true mistake with not noticing an underpass through a wall. Other mistakes were voluntary (had to try the most exciting routes).

Was supposed to run three short mass start intervals with PVSK guys and girls but I managed only one. But the beginning of it I ran the same pace with Lotta so I must be getting better.

Skipped the afternoon interval training.

I'm nowadays making notes only from abroad. This time Hungary.
Running and walking at Pécs (map: Misina-tetö Dömörkapu). I'm in a bad shape and my back is in bad shape. Hilly training with start of about 200m climb. On the plus side, nice sights.
