Running 38:33 [3] 7.7 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Kayano 23

Back in Paris, briefly (heading off to Canada tomorrow morning). Bit of drizzle to start with, but that soon cleared up and it was cloudy and a little humid. Nice run for about 5-6 km and then the jet lag hit and I really struggled back home. Had to stop at the office to collect 100 copies of a brochure for the mission to Canada. Had to walk home as was not able to run with a huge box of paper!

Running (Tokyo) 37:58 [3] 7.4 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: Kayano 23

The bus to the airport was leaving at 8.05 so had to get up extra early to squeeze in a run before breakfast and checking out. Decided to do a lap of the Imperial Palace. A surprisingly large number of runners out, some of whom were moving very quickly. There was also a large number of cyclists doing what appeared to be laps of the Palace. A few peletons of suitably professionally clad cyclists on expensive bikes whizzed by on the road and it would be a great loop for it with a nice hill and only a few traffic lights. I fell afoul of the law towards the end of the run when I crossed a major intersection against the red pedestrian light. The trouble arose as it was right next to the Diet building and there were about 15 policemen watching me do it. I was about half way across when a chorus of whistles rang out with lots of gesticulations, despite the roads being entirely empty of cars. I played the dumb tourist and apologized, and they allowed me on my way with a bit of finger-wagging.

Running (Tokyo) 30:17 [3] 5.5 km (5:30 / km)
shoes: Kayano 23

In Tokyo for work and snuck in a dawn run before the first meeting at 7.30am (yikes!). Bit of a struggle but nice to go for a trot around the streets and check a few things out. A few runners out and about and I stopped to take a few photos on what was a gorgeous morning.
