Classic at Nottingcook, pretty much back & forth where SMs hadn't been - otherwise it was bumpy. Warm day, became quite windy. Nottingingcook was one place where I could appease the dog as well as ski at the same time, saving time. Had a CT toward end of afternoon.
At Turkey River around mid-morn. The surface was good. Bright, white & warm, had to take off gloves and hat. Needed a visor cap being so open & bright white.. Balance was shaky at first but improved as expected.

SloGo conversational with Ken & W from his house. Didn't use SS going up, put them on on top. Good views despite cloudy sky - seemed we could see Washington. Chatted with wo young women sitting on one of the two benches on top. We'd heard them well before we could see them. I thought they were in the trees below. I told them I thought I'd heard ghosts talking which they found greatly amusing.
At BHS around 3p. Snowing steadily, calm. Was coming back fm CH & DMV & it was 'W time' but I was virtually planless. Have been feeling guilty re no skiing for quite some time - otherwise busy and not in frame of mind for any more than 50-60' on any given day.
Saw and spoke with 1 skater and felt remiss - particularly when he passed me, as a free spirit, on the wide-open stretches of Turee on still somewhat "groomed" SM surface.

Took W home, got skis, returned. All about balance for me. It came along, fell twice on small hills. Felt good about getting out in this manner. Pleased to have covered what I did. Had a pleasant chat with a high schooler and later his mom when she came to pick hm up. I'd explained to son I was working on balance after back surgery. He 'brightened' at the mention of surgery and said his dad was an orthopedic dr. When I met his mom, I mentioned I'd heard she was married to an orthopedist; specialty, spine surgery. Good time at BHS on a gentle (32F) winter day.

Hammnd NP, Life Tr. w/ W. Didn't know I'd be doing the loop but it was bright, white & beckoning. Saw various dogs & people. Want to do some skiing. Appeasing W interferes. There was a lone classic track in the woods.
