BHS around 5pm, T shower brewing - pretty ominous sky but actually little rain. Was cool on the track stretch heading SE into the breeze. Did 8 200s
vs usual 8 100, 4 200. Still find that I'm ready to stop at 200m. By the time I left, the sun was out, the pavement dry again. Track & campus empty. Stopped by Turee on a midsummer's eve.

After work in an AC envt. Parking in NHH lot would easily cook eggs on a dark surface.

BHS before work - air cool but in direct sun that was warming everything fast. Then some cloud to slow it all - not there long anyway. Another extremely hot day.

Orienteering 1:58:14 [2] 3.78 mi (31:17 / mi) +129m 28:17 / mi

Bear Brook O walk using CSU training map from May 25, 2014 in the most boulder-dense area with the now old logging cuts (filled with dense new growth) and a good bit of thickish green woods elsewhere. 0.5 mi to get to the point where I could get going. Was satisfactorily accurate but still hard to keep in contact in a few places. Did lose contact one time in particular but pleased at least with the relocation. Buggy of course but had spray and only really noticed mosquitoes in the large marsh area just west of Bear Hill. It is a lonely part of BB. Got dark briefly with wind - a thunder shower that never materialized.

Saw no one but several trucks at Hayes field in departing - MTBers most likely. Had a chat with the young fellow at the "gate" collecting entry fees til 7. It was 6:25, on the dark side, and looked like time to leave but not his choice. A good opportunity for reading.

310 said 3.22 mi; Strava 3.7, seems exact same walk, different gpx.

Note

Kayaking with Beth. Went to SPS but road to Turkey Pond was closed.
Started on Clinton at a boat "launch" that was bumpy/rocky. Quiet time on the pond still sufficiently early.

BHS around 7p. Legs felt good. Came to the desktop wondering how I was going to get this accomplished and it easily fell in place, just needed the Strava p'word. The fact that I'd never used the app on this desktop computer proved immaterial.
