BHS cardio, pleasant Saturday eve. Another long boat slave day.

BHS 2mi walk 100, run 100 around 6:30. Cool, wind from west, clearing in sight for tomorrow. Rained hard last night but stream is some 20" below the bridge. Might have managed 6 hrs working on the boat today. Similar time drain to field checking an O map.

Stopped by at Turee as grey sky was nice.

Dreary, chilly, grey rain day. Worked on boat most of the time. Ran out of steam by 5:30. Thighs sore from yesterday's exuberance & perhaps a reminder to take it easy. 'Full speed ahead', however slow, can come back to haunt. Didn't make it to the gym either.

BHS track around 6:30, ran 100, walked 100 which had me near continually OOB. 100s around 7' pace - 10 "wind sprints", all new to me after so long. Will try for something daily in this manner - more than jog pace. Counted my HR at 140 just after the last 100. Need to mobilize the 310.

First time at Turee shore since winter ice. Took Mocha for a walk first. She's showing her age these days although she still insists on jumping into the back of the car. She won't allow help - gets freaked out. She'll be 15 in July.

30' intense-for-me walk/jog. Started 45" "run", 45" walk but changed to 30" run, 45" walk. OOB for most of time which was good. Need to wear a HRM. First decent "stress" in some 9 months. Kept it simple by going back and forth on quiet Arnold. 25 mg metoprolol these days but to end soon. Still can feel the right leg get weak, however, when too much asked of it. Wihout any narrowing as revealed by CT angio, significant iliac arterial tortuosity (seen on the CTA) from age/hypertension could explain it. It is surgically correctable.

Have a stress echo scheduled for June 9. Need and now seemingly able to embark on a whole different regimen and metabolism.

Rain, chill, after work @Y and before obligatory boat work & long-scheduled Liz & Diane dinner. Better at treadmill alt walk/jog today than in the past. Some to do with insight from the cardiology appt today, incl echo & HM results, as well as tapering metoprolol from 100mg to 25 mg over the past 3 wks. Beta blockers and physical exertion are at odds, clearly demonstrated @ WP. Hopefully, this will prove the "obvious" reason over the next few months.

I do have a tendency to overlook the fact that I have literally not jogged even 2 miles at once in the past 6-8 mos although at cardiac rehab sessions, I worked reasonably hard, tho HR-limited.
