Snowshoes 45:00 [1]

SS with Mocha out back, then with Beth and Mocha at Knox Town Forest waking on packed snow mobile track. The nordic skiing on town SM tracks looks great.

Temp said 52F in downtown Concord - hard to believe it was that warm tho it was indeed mild.

Snowshoes 25:00 [1]

Put on the Redfeather snowshoes just before it got dark (5:30 these days) and walked a short circuit with Mocha --- who actually broke trail for 20% of the time. Was tired today - came home from work, took a nap. Was in AF last night which made for interrupted sleep. Fought off post-nap torpor, found the SS, got out briefly and felt much better. Maybe 5 years ago, we had nearly a half mile SS track. Time again for something similar but appropriately shorter.

Walking 25:00 [1] 0.7 mi (35:42 / mi)

Mocha & I made it to Stoneybrook slough this morning on packed SM tracks with a fresh 3" at most so footing was OK.

Also wore snow shoes today for the first time in two years while walking along the side of the house roof raking. Knew something was missing - deep snow-filled woods invite.

Weightexercise workout 30:00 [1]

Went to the Y for first time since surgery - now 3 wks, 1 day ago. About 50% of usual weights' weight. I should be able to log what passes for "training" with the idea that there is actually benefit... HR rarely exceeds 100, if not even 95.

Walking 30:00 [1] 1.0 mi (30:00 / mi)

Walking inside for an initial cardiac rehab visit. Decided to do this for "group therapy" as well as company and anything else of use. Can supplement with my own visits to the Y later. Unapproved efforts are climbing onto roof and helping 2 75 y/o ladies push a car driven by another lady out of snow clutches on a level surface at a Concord park.

Snow shovelling 40:00 [1]

Shovelling, roof raking, hacking at ice. The second storm - must needs doing. On roof as well for dealing with ice dams. Feel guilty but a dripping ceiling is worse!
