From Quissett again & hopped into the woods for an adventure, short that it was. Kettle hole woods (with surprisingly big contour relief) as is the Cape & Islands, open for the most part but with some serious scratchy stuff in places. Came out on Woods Hole Rd, went right toward WH & turned onto FR Lillie Dr which got me to the bike path and back to yesterday’s parking where I met Beth who'd taken a walk there.
Drove back on Labor Day Friday. Traffic was heavy near the Borne Bridge at 2pm and again heavy north of Chelmsford on the way to New England lakes and mountains. Picked up M at the kennel at last call. Don’t mind sticking around this weekend, other than Corn Maze.

Quissett to Woods Hole & onto bike path and to parking. The path is called the Shining Sea bike path and that’s exactly what it is on a sunny morning.
I was very hot at end and a dip in Vineyard Sound was the ideal solution.

Bog Jog cw early, still cool. CW seems the more climb. Best sighting was 2 motionless deer in a yard - I mistook at first for imitation. Saw the Laxes, only said hello. Done for the day which is a nice feeling. Supposed to get near 90. On the way to Quissett this morning.

At Walker TF from Meeting House parking. Took a look at Eagle trail before BOS meeting tomorrow. Scouts' signs, while nicely made, are too high and too many. Got near Hammond & headed back cross-country but all too quickly came upon an old logging road and then a smaller footpath taking me to Old WH Road all too soon. Used nav back to start on 305 with confidence, finally.
