SPS trophic late in the pm - grey & windy, quite nice. And the drabness accentuated leaf colors.
No drive to the CT A meet, a disappointment but also for the better as far as sensibility is concerned. In past 24 hrs, we bought two new used cars, the second just a few hours ago. For as short a time as possible, we have 4 vehicles, three are Saab 9-5 station wagons. Beth replaced her 2001 with a better 2000. My 2008 has been replaced by a 2008 BMW convertible. We both wanted a convertible, toy or not. Helps slow time's onslaught (as does a good training program). Tomorrow back to Portland to finish the interrupted boat delivery, haulout Monday. And then not much, thankfully. Just the A meet in Townsend. Also had an eye doctor appointment today and will have a cataract removed in January.
Ran into more bad weather than noted at the time I was watching weather
and stopped in Portland as a 3-day NEer drenched the coast. Had we made the best of an available 12 hours at the onset (hindsight), we likely would have made it to Portsmouth. Now it looks as though I won't be going to the A meet this weekend. Got a ride to Enterprise car rental from Tony Federer and made it home in pretty good time, all-considering.

Weights & cardio at Y. Done with the wet and dark for time being.
On Dix, end of long day. Token/tropic jog/walk around sunset. Kept to fields as it was getting dark. Last here 9/27. Great sunset capturing the imagination with its surround of water-logged rock gardens. Left the gps on the boat.
Map walk at Harris Center in Hancock - very nice terrain, complex, hardwood forest, TNTC boulders. Missed the map run in the am, made the pm meeting. Hancock environs are lovely - spent a little time poking around.

Nottingcook Bog Meadow loop at twilight. Encountered 2 hunters just before dark - first with back to me in camoflage. Surprised me - don't think about them much. Wish they'd take their fun elsewhere.
