Trail/woods running 32:41 [2] 2.75 mi (11:53 / mi) +3m 11:51 / mi

Dix, 3 loops, sluggish. Foggy but sun burning thru. It was hot on the east side of island & green/shaded on opposite side so ran the third in optimal direction - into breeze on warm side & away on cooler side. 18 days aboard do not make for training mentality - more of combating inertia.

Path to nowhere

Ashore just after 6am. Headed in the light house direction & found a lovely shaded path on Hockamock Head - path with views etc. Have L sciatica-like discomfort - occ like a toothache -likely due to prolonged &/or weird postures in gaining access to boat spaces.

Pm on Marshall I from Sand Cove. Ashore with Beth - walked across island to North shore jetty. Another nice trail - a lot of work put into making it. Last visit here was 9/08/05. Land now part of Maine Coast Heritage Trust. Has a airstrip runway remnant from 20 years ago when the plan apparently was to make a resort of it.

Walking 43:01 [1] 1.54 mi (27:58 / mi) +25m 26:38 / mi

Return walk.

From East Cove, Long I. Found a blue blaze path. Can't recall if I made it to town in years past. We were on that path but discomfort with dinghy & rising tide led us to return. Found a stone wall in the woods in so inhospitable a place for growing - crops (maybe an old portion of a sheep fold?). Can't recall when last here tho 8/01 comes to mind.
